10 TRENDS FOR FALL '16

Happy Monday! I'm starting off this week with a post to hopefully get you motivated (fashion/style wise) for the upcoming months ahead. In today's blog post I'm breaking down my top ten trends for Fall 2016!

1. 50 Shades of Tan

Fall 2016 is all about warm colour palettes, especially the colour Tan. Seriously stock up on this shade, it's going to be a major hit.

2. Statement Chokers

Thin, delicate and dainty chokers were all the rage for summer. For Fall 2016 we're going bigger and better with a chunky statement.

3. Return of the Ruffle

Ruffled shirts, billowy blouses, and matronly tops are back in style and I couldn't be more excited.

4. Sliding Into Fall

Slides were HUGE for SS16 and they're even bigger for Fall. They're now closed-toed for the colder weather coming our way.

5. Amigas Cheetahs

It's time to dig out your old cheetah print tops, sweaters, skirts and jackets that you wore in high school. The cheetah girls are back!

6. Satin + Velvet

Rich, bold, warm colours in satin and velvet are the "it factor" this season. Keep warm by layering these funky fabrics throughout the fall.

7. Statement (Faux) FUR

The bigger the better when it comes to this upcoming trend. Rock your (faux) fur coat like nobodies business!

8. Inside Shearling

I'm so happy about this trend, shearling is so chic and fun to style. Be creative!

9. Layering Turtle Necks

We saw this a lot in SS16, layering the "little white tee" under the slip dresses. Now, replace the tee with a turtle neck!

10. Reconstructed Denim

Not only is it creative and fashionable but I think it's amazing that this trend is the idea of re-using old denim to create new silhouettes. You could always try this as a DIY!
