Walking with Elephants

During our road trip up the Garden Route we stopped for a few nights in Knysna, a quaint but beautiful town in the Western Cape. During our stay we visited Knysna Elephant Park - a facility that rescues orphaned calves and rehabilitates hurt elephants then places them back into the wild once they're ready.

It was a very calm and tranquil experience, which was shocking to me because they're huge creatures, but they were just the sweetest. Actual gentle giants.
