WALKING WITH ELEPHANTS

Walking with Elephants

During our road trip up the Garden Route we stopped for a few nights in Knysna, a quaint but beautiful town in the Western Cape. During our stay we visited Knysna Elephant Park - a facility that rescues orphaned calves and rehabilitates hurt elephants then places them back into the wild once they're ready.

It was a very calm and tranquil experience, which was shocking to me because they're huge creatures, but they were just the sweetest. Actual gentle giants.

It was absolutely breathtaking! If you ever have the chance to visit South Africa, visit http://knysnaelephantpark.co.za/ for more info!
