WEST COAST VS. EAST COAST: SPRING FORWARD
In today's blog post I've teamed up with Beauty Rewritten's Nitsan Raiter to hopefully bring our readers (yes, you!) some spring style inspiration. Not only are we bringing you today's post but another four more! We have decided to do a full swing spring series (saythat 10 times fast). If you've just come from Beauty Rewritten and this is your first time here, welcome! It's nice to meet you.

Nitsan is a Toronto based fashion blogger who writes about current fashion trends, lifestyle, travel and all-things beauty related. Even though we live on opposite coasts, we think pretty alike and have very similar fashion
tastes. Make sure you check her out onwww.beautyrewritten.com for part two of this series!
Transitioning into spring can be hard, especially if you're like us and live in Canada where the weather doesn't cooperate. If you're lucky and live in hot climate, when can I move in? Here's how I style for west coast spring weather.
For the first post of the series I'm bringing you a spring #OOTD.
Blanket Scarf
Layering. It's all about layering. You want to keep warm without wearing a heavy jacket and a blanket scarf is that perfect alternative here on the west coast. (Shop the scarf I'm wearinghere).
Trousers
Trousers are the perfect piece to have the feeling that you're wearing sweat pants but you look like you actually tried that day, what's better than that? (Shop my trousers here).
Suede Booties
Since Canada isn't ready for sandals yet, make the outfit a little warmer by sporting a suede boot. Suede is a huge trend for this spring and it isn't as heavy as a leather boot. (Shop boots similar to mine here, here and here).
Texture
Don't be afraid to play around with texture. Pairing lace with linens and suede can totally lift an outfit up.
Colour
Taupe is the new black. Trust me, this colour will be everywhere for spring. If you haven't already, step out of your comfort zone (black) and try the new alternative. (Shop this colour literally everywhere).
I had so much fun collaborating with Nitsan, keep an eye out for more from us in this series and don't forget to check her out on beautyrewritten.com for some east coast style and her instagram@beautyrewritten for daily inspiration.
